Meet Sheldon

Interacting with students on a weekly basis, learning what their likes and dislikes are, seeing what motivates them, and observing their youthfulness are just a few of the reasons why I like being an LC sponsor.  My role is simply to be there and to be of any help to the student's spiritual lives.  Through my interaction with them, my goal is to encourage them to commit to God in everything they do.  I have a passion for missions and would love to go on a two year missions trip to Hong Kong! 

I have been married to the same woman for over 36 years and have two wonderful kids--one boy and one girl--who are both married to great partners.  As of now, I do not have any grandkids...yet. 

In my spare time, I like to read, perhaps a bit too much.  I read mostly mysteries, spy novels, and devotionals.  I also like to hike, bike, and walk in the surf (especially in Hawaii.)  Pair any of those activities with some Japanese food and Jazz or Hawaiian music and I'm set!
