Meet Carol
I serve in The HOUSE! Not only do I like seeing the kids grow in the Lord, but I also love seeing the rest of my team support and pray for each other.
I was born to Steven and Madge Wong in 1983. I was the second of three children, but for a long time it was just me and my older sister Esta. My brother came along five years after me, and then there were three. We lived a fairly spoiled childhood, only to be caught up by my parent's divorce when I was 13. This changed my life. I then lived in many different places throughout the Bay Area with my mom. One of the moves brought me to Fremont which allowed me to attend high school at CCS. It was hard for me at first, but after my four years there, I learned to appreciate all CCS had to offer, and really loved the school for its people and its commitment to excellence. That same commitment got me to UC Davis, where I studied for four and a half years earning a BS degree in Biology. I really liked my college years, but I still came back weekly to be a part of H2O and BACBC. Home is where my heart is. As of today, I've made my 18th or 19th move to Alameda where I live with my new husband, Jon. We had dated since CCS and 8 1/2 years later, we got married!
I love spending time with family and friends, and most of the time, our hanging out involves food! I also like outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, snowboarding, etc. But the funny thing is I hate getting dirty. I have BACILLOPHOBIA: an abnormal and persistent fear of bacilli (or bacteria). I don't like germs, being sick, eating off the table, or floor, or counter, etc.
